2 years ago, in March 2020, I took on the challenge of running 27 miles in 27 days for a charity close to my heart, Mind. This was a difficult ask, having no experience in running meant that I had to plan very carefully to make sure I hit the 27 mile target.
This year, I have decided to do the same and run 27 miles in 27 days in March 2022. Being a young athlete that struggles with their mental health, I felt it was only right for me to take on this challenge and step out of my comfort zone.
In 2020-21, Mind's mental health information was accessed a staggering 20.7 million times, over 20 million people used the online peer support communities to share, be heard and get support, 2.15 million more people had a conversation about mental health as a result of Time To Talk Day.
Mind's vision is to never give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
