My gym playlist

Writer's picture: ashleighrugbyashleighrugby

A few months ago I decided, you know what, it's time to start going to the gym to improve my mental and physical health, and also prepare myself for the rugby season.

This meant that I would need music right - who exercises without music? I can't! So, today I'm highlighting my top hits that are a go-to, whether that be cardio or weights.

  1. Congratulations - Post Malone ft. Quavo This song is on my playlist because I feel it gives me that extra bit of strength to say if you train hard enough, you'll be able to show all the people who didn't believe in you that you did it, you hit that final goal. 'They said I wouldn't be nothing, now they always say congratulations.'

  2. Try - P!nk Now, this one might sound random to those of you who don't know the song, but to outline the song, it's basically saying sometimes you just have to listen to your heart, whether it be to stay and see it through or to finally get up and move on. You can’t just give up just because things look bad. And sometimes, things might work out the way you wanted them to.

  3. Till I Collapse - Eminem An obvious choice really, a classified banger and is probably alongside the greatest workout hits of all time. It pushes you to the max, 'until you collapse', and it's an overall great song for cardio mainly, it really takes you to new levels of cardio you didn't know you had in you.

Those are my current 3 favourite songs to listen to whilst working out, as I've been doing a lot of cardio lately to get me back up to rugby playing standard.

What are your favourite songs to exercise to? Let me know in the comments!

(Super sorry for the short blog today, I've had writers block for a while and just don't know what to do half of the time, bigger and better things are coming. Thank you for your patience.)
