The playlist hits

Every sportsman/woman or whoever they may be has their specific songs that they like to listen to, but have you ever considered what a playlist contains and what kind of genres they might hold? No, well here's your chance to learn all about my game day hits and bangers to get me motivated for training/matchday.

Firstly, 'lose yourself' by Eminem has to be one of the top songs without fail. It's such a great running song too as you can run to the beat of the music. By far one of my favourite songs to get me in the mood for some hard work and determination. Following the genre of rap, but moving slightly to pop, 'can't hold us' by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton has to be up there with one of the bangers that gets me excited for gameday.

Continuing with the pop theme, 'hall of fame' and 'superheroes' by The Script definitely have to have an honourable mention here. They're so upbeat and hall of fame gives me a sense of extra power I might not have felt before listening to it.

Carrie Underwood's 'the champion' ft. Ludacris is possibly one of the best country motivating songs out there with lyrics such as 'I am invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable, unshakeable, they knock me down I'll get up again' to give you that boost and motivation to keep on fighting and pushing every day.

'Swing low, sweet chariot' has to be one of my favourite songs for motivation when travelling to a game, or in the changing rooms before you head out to play. I find this song as a huge inspiration to put in 110% every time, because I know that if I put in that extra 10%, I'll make it to where I want to be, which is on the international stage representing the Red Roses.

'Destined for greatness' by Tobi and Manny ft. Janelle is definitely on my gameday playlist as it gives that extra something that other songs just can't give for me. It talks about putting the work in to get to where you want to be.

Nathan Dawe's 'lighter' ft. KSI also deserves a mention, because although the lyrics aren't exactly relevant to training or game day, it just manages to lighten the mood when other songs can't.

Finally, Fall Out Boy's 'centuries' song has to be on my playlist without a shadow of a doubt, 'you will remember me for centuries' being one of my favourite lines of the song.

Of course all the songs mentioned aren't all the songs I listen to on a game day, but those are some of my all time favourites, and when I look back on this, I'm definitely going to have missed some absolute classics off.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks blog! Comment down below what songs are on your training/matchday playlist :)
