As I'm sure you're all aware, the Rugby World Cup is fast approaching and all the millions and millions of rugby fans - especially those who are a fan of the beautiful game of women's rugby.

We're in the months leading up to the big event, and many people around the world are anticipating the result of this exciting competition. Teams from all around the globe are participating, there's a knockout style quarter finals, and also two sets of semi finals!!

New Zealand are the hosts for this years wonderful tournament - with them being the first Southern Hemisphere side to host the RWC in the women's side of things. This is a huge opportunity to showcase their skills to the millions of rugby fans living in the country that holds the most world cups.

England and New Zealand are big favourites to meet in the finals of the tournament, and if they should meet, they are repeating history, as the two sides met in the final of the 2017 world cup, hosted in Ireland. New Zealand came out on the stronger side, unfortunately for England, however they did bring some positives from the game, and through the past 4 years, England have progressed rapidly and now sit at the top of the world rankings.

However, both Canada and France are both looking strong ahead of this years tournament, with them sitting 3rd and 4th in the rankings at present. France have the upper hand here in my opinion, as they have the postponed six nations to come in the next couple of months. This will give them the chance to test their players against big teams such as England, and hopefully prepare them as much as they can for the World Cup.

This tournament should be a very exciting one - with new fans from many countries tuning in to watch the wonderful sport that is rugby.

I'll be tuning in for as many games as possible! I know that for sure! Remember to share all you can about women's rugby, and remind the world that you care. We're in for a great tournament.

#Icare, do you?
